"Late Score Costs Ambridge Post 641 After Late Charge From Blackhawk 261

Sunday's game against Blackhawk 261 was a heartbreaker for BadenPost 641, as they lost the lead late in a 6-5 defeat. The game was tied at five in the top of the seventh when Cody Woodward doubled, scoring one run.

Blackhawk 261 got on the board in the top of the second inning after Stephen Knallay singled, scoring two runs, and Stephen Knallay scored after tagging up.

Baden Post 641 tied the game in the bottom of the second thanks to a single by AJ Gerace, and a fielder's choice by Joey Pugh.

Baden Post 641 jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the third inning after Adam Fernandez tripled, and Nate Thomas singled, each scoring one run.

Blackhawk 261 tied the game in the top of the sixth thanks to a double by Grant Lansberry, and a fielder's choice by Logan Elich.

Nick Thomas stepped on the bump first for Baden Post 641. The right-handed pitcher gave up 10 hits and five runs over five and one-third innings, striking out none and walking four. Logan Elich started on the bump for Blackhawk 261. The left-handed pitcher surrendered seven hits and five runs over two innings, striking out one and walking two.

AJ Gerace, the number nine hitter for Baden Post 641, led the way with two runs batted in. The infielder went 1-for-2 on the day. Caison Holland went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Baden Post 641 in hits. Nate Thomas paced Baden Post 641 with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, piling up six walks for the game. Baden Post 641 turned two double plays in the game.

Blackhawk 261 piled up 12 hits in the game. Cody Woodward led Blackhawk 261 with two runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. They went 1-for-4 on the day. Stephen Knallay went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Blackhawk 261 in hits. Logan Elich, Grant Lansberry, and Owen Keister each collected multiple hits for Blackhawk 261. Blackhawk 261 turned one double play in the game.
